Marioo, one of the most popular artists in Tanzania and who recently collaborated with The Ben on the song ‘Baby’, has been added to the list of performers for the concert the artist will perform in Kampala, Uganda.
The concert is scheduled to take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on May 17, 2025, and the team that will be helping The Ben in its preparations have already arrived in Uganda on the morning of May 15, 2025.
It was expected that The Ben would also be the one to head to Uganda, especially since the organizers of this concert had wanted the press conference to be held on May 15, 2025, but it ended up that he could not go with the others.
IGIHE has information that The Ben had a problem with not being able to get a plane ticket, especially since the ‘Business class’ flights for the morning of May 15, 2025 were sold out, which forced him to change his plans and he will have to head there tonight.
Among those who managed to leave were The Ben's bodyguard and a group of his supporters including Muyoboke Alex, Fiacre and Uncle Austin who arrived in Kampala on the morning of May 15, 2025.
This is not the first time that The Ben's plans have changed when he is going to perform in Kampala, in 2024, he was also delayed for a whole day after the plane that was supposed to take him there on the morning of February 13 had a problem and had to arrive in the evening of that day.
The list of artists announced to accompany the artist in Kampala includes Kevin Kade and Element EléeeH who collaborated with The Ben on the song ‘Sikosa’ and Symphony Band who are expected to perform for him.
Apart from these artists who will be from Rwanda, the concert will also feature other artists including Irene Ntale, Ray G and DJ Spinny.
The concert will be hosted by MC Mariachi while comedians including Maulana and Reign as well as Dr Hilary Okello will be present.
The Ben is going to perform a concert to impress his fans with his new album titled ‘The plenty of love’ and it will be held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Entry to the concert is 150 thousand UGX, a VIP table will cost 400 thousand UGX and a table that seats eight will cost 3 million UGX.
