Olympic 100m silver and bronze medallist Fred Kerley has been provisionally suspended for alleged whereabouts failures, according to the Athletics Integrity Unit on Tuesday.
The American sprinter, who claimed the 100m world title in 2022, says he will fight the charge, insisting he has not breached anti-doping rules.
“He firmly believes that one or more of the alleged missed tests should be dismissed, either because he was not negligent or because the Doping Control Officer failed to take reasonable steps to find him at his designated location,” Kerley’s attorney stated in a message shared on his X account.
