Following the air of her marriage to singer Mr Eazi, Temi Otedola has officially taken on her husband’s surname, now identifying as ‘Temiloluwa Ajibade.’
The change is already visible on her Instagram bio, sparking a lot of conversations and mixed reactions across social media.
While some fans appreciated Temi for accepting her new name and marital identity, others questioned her decision to drop her influential father’s surname, stating it as unnecessary.
A section of the public suggested she could have combined both names as a way of honoring both families, while others argued that marriage is sustained by values such as love, character, and loyalty, not just a surname.
Reporters confirmed that Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, and Mr Eazi celebrated their union with a lavish three part wedding ceremony.
Their wedding journey began with a civil ceremony in Monaco on May 9 2025, which corresponded with Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday.
This was followed by a vibrant traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family’s residence in Dubai, where music legend King Sunny Ade gave a memorable performance.
The celebration was concluded in Iceland on August 8, 2025, with a mind blowing white wedding in a picturesque church, where the couple exchanged vows.
