Liverpool pulled off yet another dramatic finish as Mohamed Salah’s stoppage-time penalty preserved their perfect start to the Premier League season and crushed Burnley’s hopes.
The Clarets seemed to have held the champions at bay until substitute Hannibal was penalized for handling Jeremie Frimpong’s cross in the fifth minute of added time, giving Salah the chance to smash home from the spot in front of the travelling Reds.
His decisive strike denied Burnley what would have been the first points taken off Liverpool this campaign, leaving them heartbroken at the final whistle.
