Noah Lyles Defends 200m Title in Style as Zango Ends Career on Emotional Note

Sprint sensation Noah Lyles successfully defended his men’s 200m title, storming to victory in 19.52 seconds to claim the gold medal. Teammate Kenny Bednarek grabbed silver, while Jamaica’s Bryan Levell powered through for bronze.

“I came here to defend my title and I did just that,” an elated Lyles said after the race.

Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo crossed the line in fourth place but expressed satisfaction with his effort following a tough season. “To end like this, after everything, I’m proud,” he reflected.

Meanwhile, in the men’s triple jump, World Champion Hugues Fabrice Zango of Burkina Faso ended his illustrious career with a 16.92m leap, finishing seventh. Algeria’s Yasser Triki came close to the podium with a 17.25m effort, settling for fourth.
