Luis Enrique Reacts as PSG Thrash Bayer Leverkusen 7–2 in Champions League Showdown

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has shared his reaction after the French champions crushed Bayer Leverkusen 7–2 in a thrilling Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

The defending champions sit comfortably at the top of their group after a dramatic encounter that saw both sides reduced to 10 men in the first half.

PSG took control early, going 4–1 ahead by halftime in Germany. William Pacho opened the scoring with a powerful header in the seventh minute.

Leverkusen had a chance to level when Alex Grimaldo won a penalty, but he hit the post in the 25th minute.

Moments later, Leverkusen captain Robert Andrich was sent off after a VAR review for an elbow on Desire Doue. PSG, however, soon went down to 10 men themselves as Illia Zabarnyi received a red card for fouling Christian Kofane, who was through on goal. Zabarnyi had earlier conceded the penalty.

This time, Aleix Garcia made no mistake, slotting home to give Leverkusen their first goal.PSG responded quickly, Desire Doue fired in from close range in the 41st minute before Khvicha Kvaratskhelia unleashed a stunning shot off the post to make it 4–1 just before halftime.

In added time, Doue struck again with a beautiful curling effort to grab his second goal of the night.

Five minutes into the second half, Nuno Mendes extended PSG’s lead, though Garcia responded with a spectacular long-range strike, his second of the match to lift home fans’ spirits.

However, any hopes of a comeback were short-lived as substitutes Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha added two more goals, sealing an emphatic 7–2 victory for PSG.
