Kenya: 9-year-old boy saves victims of car accident
Nine-year-old Boniface Njoroge from Murang’a County, Kenya, saved nine people who were about to die in a car accident.
The boy saved the people when the car he was in, his father, mother and other passengers, fell into the Kiama River, and he managed to climb out of the window.
The boy immediately ran to seek help nearby, who were able to rescue the people in the car.
However, the people arrived to find that six people, including the boy’s father, Paul Karanja, had already died because the boy had gone to help when the car started to flood.
The boy’s mother, Alice Wangeshi, said that when she saw her son jump out of the car, she knew she was missing, but she didn’t know that she was going to save his life.
Police in the area said that the injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for basic treatment.
