Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé received the 2024–25 Golden Boot award on Friday, celebrated on the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu in front of his teammates.
The French forward netted 31 goals last season, earning him the prestigious top scorer award for the very first time.
“This award is a special moment for me,” Mbappé said after being handed the trophy.
“Winning this for the first time means a lot to me as a striker. But before anything else, I want to thank all my teammates who are here today. Because of them, I can show the best version of myself and help Real Madrid fight for everything.”
He added, “I believe we can win this season. We have an amazing group, and I hope we will collect many trophies this year because team awards matter the most. Looking at everyone here, I know we can accomplish great things.”
The Golden Boot is given to the leading goal scorer across Europe’s domestic leagues.This season, Mbappé has already made a blazing start, scoring 16 goals in just 13 matches, the strongest opening of his career.
