Hunger Deepens in Gaza as Families Rely on Temporary Charity Kitchens

On Saturday, men, women, and children clutching any kind of container they could find rushed to a temporary charity kitchen in Gaza City, desperate to secure rice or lentils.

With food supplies nearly exhausted and hunger worsening, these kitchens have become the only lifeline for many families.

Zeinab Nabahan, a displaced mother from Jabalia, said she reached the kitchen at six in the morning, hoping to find something for her children to eat.

“They are surviving on the small amounts of lentils or rice that we get here. I hope that God will help me get something. My children haven’t had bread or even breakfast,” she explained.

The United Nations has warned that malnutrition and starvation in Gaza have now reached their worst levels since the war began.
