Kenya Defeats Morocco to Stay Unbeaten at CHAN PAMOJA

Kenya claimed a landmark 1–0 win over two-time champions Morocco in Nairobi, keeping their unbeaten run alive at the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA despite playing the entire second half with 10 men.

Ryan Ogam’s 42nd-minute strike was the difference at a packed Moi International Sports Centre on Sunday, as Benni McCarthy’s side defied the odds and ended Morocco’s flawless CHAN record to take early command of Group A.

Ogam slotted home the winner before McCarthy’s men dug deep to defend their lead with pressure and determination after Chrispine Erambo’s red card, upgraded via VAR in first half stoppage time, reduced the co-hosts to ten men for the rest of the match.

The victory, coming after a 1–0 triumph over DR Congo and a 1–1 draw with Angola, lifts Kenya to seven points from three matches and leaves them on the brink of a historic quarter-final spot in their debut tournament.
