Mbappe Takes PSG to Court Over Unpaid Salaries and Bonuses

Kylian Mbappe is set to appear at the Paris labor court on November 17 to present his case against his former club PSG. Mbappe, who joined Spanish giants Real Madrid as a free agent last year, claims that PSG still owe him 55 million euros in unpaid wages and bonuses.

The French champions maintain that all financial obligations to their captain were fully settled according to his contract. The dispute, which began before Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid, could have wide-reaching consequences for football.

If Mbappe prevails, other players who leave their clubs under similar circumstances might also have grounds to claim owed salaries and bonuses.

Mbappe spent seven seasons with PSG, and in July he withdrew a separate lawsuit in which he accused the club of harassment aimed at forcing him to sign a contract extension.
