Nkosi, as he is known, has dedicated his youth to fighting the climate crisis that severely affects his home country.
Nkosi’s journey began when he witnessed firsthand the devastating impacts of droughts and unpredictable weather on his community. He realized that the environmental problems were intertwined with the daily struggles of his people, leading to food insecurity and hardship.
Driven by a desire to find practical solutions, Nkosi started documenting local environmental degradation and pushing for change within his school. His standout achievement came when he designed and implemented a biogas digester. This innovative project converted waste into clean cooking fuel for his school kitchen, saving trees and reducing pollution.
