PSG vs Bayern: Clash of the Unbeaten Giants

Two of Europe’s most in-form teams are set to face off on Tuesday as defending Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain welcome Bayern Munich to the Parc des Princes.

Both sides have won their opening three matches in this season’s tournament. PSG sit at the top of the standings, just ahead of Bayern, with the French champions having scored one goal more, 13 goals compared to Bayern’s 12.

Before their recent meeting in the Club World Cup quarter-finals, Bayern had enjoyed a four-match winning streak against PSG. However, PSG broke that run by securing a 2-0 victory. Since that loss, Vincent Kompany’s Bayern team has bounced back in stunning fashion, winning all 15 games that followed.

Meanwhile, PSG remain unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions, and their only defeat this season came against Marseille in Ligue 1.

Tuesday’s showdown also brings back memories of the 2019–20 Champions League final in Lisbon, when Kingsley Coman scored the decisive goal that handed Bayern their sixth Champions League trophy.
