Reality TV star and entrepreneur Tacha Akide has hit a major milestone after completing her 24-hour Guinness World Record makeover challenge in Lagos, setting a new benchmark for creativity and endurance in Nigeria’s beauty scene.
The star kicked off the marathon session on Saturday and wrapped it up at 8:30 pm on Sunday, maintaining her energy and enthusiasm throughout the long hours. Her models included popular influencers like Venita Akpofure, Mitchy, Wanni, and Handi, each representing diverse skin tones and body types to promote inclusivity in the beauty industry.
Every transformation was documented with professional photoshoots and runway presentations as part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, which served as the centerpiece of the record-breaking event.
The occasion attracted several entertainment heavyweights, including Dabota Lawson, Soma Anyama, Slimcase, Egungun of Lagos, and the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe.
Tacha, who rose to fame after her bold appearance on Big Brother Naija Season 4, now awaits official confirmation from Guinness World Records before being formally recognized as a record holder.
Sharing her inspiration, she said the challenge was driven by her desire to “celebrate Nigerian women’s creativity, strength, and resilience” while showcasing the country’s beauty industry to the world.
