In Monterrey, Mexico, a small sized robot named “Waldog” is drawing attention as he walks, talks, runs, and plays, all in an effort to highlight the issue of animal abuse and promote better treatment of animals.
With his friendly, metallic voice, Waldog engages both children and adults in conversations about animal rights.
“Hi, I’m Waldog, and I’m here to give a voice to those who don’t have one; the animals living on the streets,” he told a group of laughing residents in Santa Catarina, a neighborhood of Monterrey on August 8.
Waldog explained that his mission is to “raise awareness” about the treatment of animals.
