The national team 'Amavubi' has started a retreat to South Sudan in search of a ticket for the African Cup of Nations (CHAN 2024), without APR FC players who were asked to rest by their team due to fatigue.
This Sunday, the Tigers began their retreat, preparing for two matches against South Sudan on December 22 and 28, 2024 in the final qualifiers for CHAN 2024.

The management of APR FC has written to the Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA) that its players are tired due to the important and consecutive matches they have played, so they will participate in the national team's retreat on Tuesday after a rest.
Byiriringo Gilbert, Niyomugabo Claude, Niyigena Clément, Nshimiyimana Yunussu, Ruboneka Bosco, Mugiraneza Froduard, Dushimimana Olivier, Tuyisenge Arsène, Niyibizi Ramadhan and Mugisha Gilbert are the APR FC players called up on Thursday.
It is planned that the Tigers will leave Kigali on December 19 while the first match will be held in South Sudan on December 22, 2024.
