A new educational center called The Hub has opened in Wallingford, providing a unique alternative for families with young children and a dedicated space for parents. The center, led by CEO Jessica Hollander, aims to redefine alternative education with personalized learning programs for children from infancy to 12 years old.

The Hub offers customized curriculums tailored to each child's needs and provides tutoring support for homeschooling families. Hollander explained that many parents are interested in homeschooling but may lack the confidence or resources to fully support their children’s education. The Hub helps bridge that gap by offering professional guidance.

One of the most popular programs at The Hub is the Hubling Playschool Program, which allows parents to work in a separate area while their children engage in learning and play. Parents can focus on their tasks while knowing their children are nearby and can reach out if needed.

The center also offers a parents’ lounge where adults can relax, work, or take part in activities like Pilates and yoga. With the recent changes to the state's kindergarten requirements, The Hub is also preparing to launch a program specifically for 4-year-olds, ensuring continued support for families impacted by the new regulations.

Looking ahead, Hollander plans to open a second location within the next three years to expand the reach of The Hub’s services.
