The leaders of Impinganzima House in Rusizi District praised the members of Unity Club Intwararumuri who visited them and wished them a happy end of the year, assuring them that this activity protects them from isolation.

There is an annual event where the members of the Unity Club meet the parents of the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994 who were placed in Impinganzima homes, and share the year-end festivities.

This event took place on December 11, 2024, at the home of Impingazima in Rusizi District. Mudarana Mukashema of Giheke Sector in Rusizi District, who has been living in Impinganzima's house for five years, expressed many of his feelings because of the visit of those from Unity Club Intwararumuri.

He said, "We are all happy, we always celebrate with them at the end of the year, but then the event was a disaster.

We thank the leadership of our country, especially President Kagame, who is like the one who came from God to wash Rwanda and he really blessed it".

For God's sake, 82-year-old François, who has lived in Impingazima's house in Rusizi District for five years, continued, "It makes us lonely.

Being alone is bad and makes a person grow old quickly, but when they come and have fun, it prolongs our days because we are not alone."

The representative of Unity Club Intwararumuri at the event, Francine Tumusime praised the bravery of Intwaza, saying that their life is a book that old and young people learn from and will always learn from.

He said, “We came to celebrate the holidays together. It is the duty of Unity Club Intwararumuri, but we do not consider it as if we are doing it on our own, but it is a good heart of humanity, worthy of Rwandans.

We have trained ourselves and we promise that we will continue to do so”. Unity Club Intwararumuri is an organization founded in February 1996, which aims to strengthen Unity and Peace, which are the pillars of sustainable development.

Currently, there are four Impinganzima houses in the country including those of Rusizi, Huye, Nyanza and Bugesera.
