The older siblings of the Marokopa children, who were taken by their father three years ago, have shown their support for their mother, who recently spoke publicly about the case.
The search for Tom Phillips and his children—Jayda, Maverick, and Ember—resumed two weeks ago after a pair of teenage hunters spotted them on an isolated farm in rural Waikato. The children and their father, who had been missing for over two years, were seen carrying backpacks and wearing wet-weather gear as they headed into the bush.
In a recent interview, the children’s mother, Cat, expressed her heartache and frustration, stating, "My babies deserve better. Supporting Tom is essentially supporting child abuse. None of this is okay." She also addressed the ongoing public commentary, saying, "I’m dumbfounded by people who don’t know us making judgments."
The children's older siblings took to social media to express their pride in their mother, stating, "We are very proud of you, Mum, for speaking out. No one can imagine the torment you're going through."
They also mentioned their hope that the ongoing search efforts would bring their siblings home soon, writing, "We love you, Jayda, Maverick, and Ember, and hope you return home soon."
Despite recent sightings, there has been little progress in the search. Two weeks ago, the children were seen by teenage hunters, who reported their brief encounter with the family. However, after an extensive search, no further significant evidence has been found.
The family remains hopeful, with renewed efforts to find the missing children continuing.
